After Tesla, BYD, CATL, and other companies, Meacon's process automation solution has been applied to another major new energy material construction project - the "Annual Output of 50,000 Tons of Lithium Iron Phosphate Cathode Material Project". The first phase of the project has been put into operation.
The head of Meacon's Hefei office, Gao Gong, revealed that the first phase of the project used hundreds of automation instruments including radar level gauges, electromagnetic flowmeters, pressure transmitters, water quality analysis equipment, and temperature sensors, covering the entire production chain from raw material preparation, reaction processes, post-product processing to wastewater treatment.
"By implementing a series of automated solutions, advancing the automation process has not only improved the production efficiency and product quality of the factory, achieved effective cost control, but also helped the enterprise respond to the country's call for energy conservation, emission reduction, and green production," said Gao Gong.
According to reports, with the rapid development of the new energy vehicle industry, lithium iron phosphate batteries have been widely used in electric vehicles, energy storage, ships, aerospace, etc., due to their high safety, long cycle life, and cost advantages, and have become the preferred power battery material for many well-known car companies such as Tesla and BYD.In 2023, Meacon reached a cooperation agreement with Vietnam's largest conglomerate Vingroup to provide process automation solutions for VinFast, its high-end car brand, in the new energy battery project - Vietnam's first lithium iron phosphate battery factory.Under the leadership of the national "dual carbon" target, the energy development has entered an important window period for low-carbon transformation. Meacon is committed to providing efficient, reliable, and cost-effective process automation solutions for every participant in the new energy industry chain, helping to promote the transformation and upgrading of the new energy industry.
